How does The Florist Quarter work?

We are your one stop shop for the best florists in Australia. Whether you are looking for a florist for your wedding or event, you are a business looking for freelancers or permanent staff or any other opportunities where you need a gun florist, our Directory is the place to find them. All of our florists are vetted so you know you are speaking to real, local florists (no more nasty order gatherers or relay services).

Can I contact florists directly?

Yes! Either contact them directly through their profiles or use their contact details provided.

Can anyone use the directory?

Yes! Simply filter the directory for what type of florist you are looking for (freelancer, wedding, bouquet delivery etc) and bob’s your uncle.

What if I don't have time to go through the directory?

If you are looking to hire a florist for your business, post on our jobs board and we will notify directory members and promote the job opportunity on social media.

If you are looking for a florist for your wedding or event, submit what flowers and services you need through our ‘Request a Quote’ page and interested florists will send quotes directly to your email. Choose the one you like best and job done, easy!

Your very own members portal where you can update your details your self – complete autonomy. We also share online resources to help you get the most out of your listing.

How much does it cost to join the directory?

We have made a variety of pricing levels depending on what suits you best, these can be found on the Membership page. 

How do I pay?

Payments are made through PayPal – either with your PayPal account or with your debit/credit card. Plans are renewed annually.

I'm a directory member - how do I access quotes?

We receive the quotes when they are submitted and then email them directly to members inbox’s based on location. If you’re free for the date – you can shoot off a price list and get the quoting process started! We capture all the relevant details first so you don’t have to waste any time!

I am having trouble compressing my higher resolution images, how do I do it?

All images need to be under 600kb  in order for the directory to run effectively. You can google ‘how to compress my images to 600kb’ and a range of options can help. You can also compress images in the photo edit tools on MAC and PC’s. Otherwise, please email hello@thefloristquarter.com.au and we would be more than happy to help!

I've just created my profile, why can't I see it in the directory?

It takes 24 hours for your profile to go live in the directory. We take order gathering very seriously, so it’s important to vet all profiles before they go live. This is to protect our community and directory users.

Can I edit my profile once it is live?

Yes, simply log in to your Members Portal and click the ‘Manage My Profile’ button on your homepage. You will need to select your plan again and you will land on the page with all of your details, then go ahead and make any changes and then hit ‘Submit’. We encourage you to keep your profile up to date and looking super spesh! 

Can I cancel my profile?

Of course you can! We’ll be sad to see you go but please email hello@thefloristquarter.com.au and we can assist you.

Terms and Conditions

Directory Members

First and foremost, order gathering is taken very seriously by The Florist Quarter, if we believe members to be participating in this practice they will be removed from the directory immediately without warning.

It is strongly recommended that all parties have relevant insurance necessary. The Florist Quarter holds no responsibility for obtainment of insurances by freelancers or businesses.

Agreement of payment details (eg hourly price, payment method, time of payment) is the responsibility of the two parties. No money exchanges through The Florist Quarter when booking freelancers through the directory function and The Florist Quarter  takes no responsibility for the agreements between the two parties.

Appropriate notification is to be made directly between both parties if any part of the working agreement can not go ahead.

Any photos shared on your profile must have permission to be used if they are not your creative property. We will use photos uploaded to the directory to promote you across our social media channels.

For freelancers, please be transparent and truthful about your years of experience, abilities and training.

Subscription are debited on a rolling basis (fees will be debited yearly). The Florist Quarter reserves the right to make changes to payment plans at any time, without notice.

Any discount codes offered are for the first year of your subscription, they do not roll over to subsequent years. Additional discounts may be offered mid subscription but this will be specified at the time of offering.

Your personalised social media asset will be posted in the first year of your subscription.

For listing members whose plans include additional marketing such as a Newsletter Feature and/or Blog Post, these too will be shared in the first year of your subscription. In additional years of membership, we highly encourage you to send in your styled shoots, real weddings or think pieces for us to create Blog articles for you. This is at the discretion of the listing holder.

If you decide to cancel your membership, please contact us to delete your profile. You will not be refunded for any payment already made.

The Florist Quarter does not guarantee you will be booked for jobs simply by being on the platform. Florists, much like flowers, are a personal choice. We suggest keeping your profile up to date to stand out from the crowd and be responsive to enquiries.

The Florist Quarter reserves the right to remove any florist that does not comply with these guidelines.

 

Floristry Industry Booking Freelance Florists

Agreement of payment details (eg hourly price, payment method, time of payment) is the responsibility of the two parties. No money exchanges through The Florist Quarter when booking freelancers through the directory and no responsibility is taken for the agreements between the two parties.

Appropriate notification is to be made directly between both parties if any part of the working agreement can not go ahead.

Whilst we are dedicated to helping you find staff, if a paid post on the ‘jobs board’ does not result in a hiring opportunity, The Florist Quarter takes no responsibility and refunds are not available under any circumstances.

Job postings will be reviewed before going live, please allow 24 hours for your job listing to show up on the Jobs Board.

​Consumers Booking Florists for Events

Agreement of quote and all payment details (eg agreed upon price, quoting, invoicing, holding deposits etc) is the responsibility of the two parties. No money exchanges through The Florist Quarter when booking florists and no responsibility is taken for the agreements between the two parties.

It is encouraged that specific details and reference photos be shared before booking your florist so each party is informed of expectations regarding style, size, ingredients, quantities etc. The Florist Quarter takes no responsibility for the agreements between the two parties.

Appropriate notification is to be made directly between both parties if any part of the working agreement can not go ahead. The Florist Quarter takes no responsibility of the dissolvement of working relationships.

It is strongly encouraged that you ask florists for their Terms and Conditions relating to postponing weddings, cancellations, retaining holding deposits etc. The Florist Quarter takes responsibility for the agreement between the two parties or dissolvement of working relationship.

Please reply to quotes even if you are not interested. Directory members have taken time to write these for you, a simple ‘thank you but we have decided to go with someone else’ is more than enough and the florists will appreciate knowing where they stand for the date in question.
