SENIOR FLORIST & EVENT STYLIST – MAT LEAVE POSITION

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Florist & Event Stylist to join our dynamic team for a 1 year contract (Mat leave cover). In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing stunning floral arrangements and styling concepts for weddings and special events. You will oversee the floral and styling process from concept to execution, ensuring exceptional quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

– Floral Design & Execution: Create and arrange breathtaking floral designs for events, including bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony backdrops, and large-scale floral installations.

– Event Styling & Coordination: Work closely with clients and the event team to develop cohesive design concepts that incorporate florals, decor, and other styling elements.

– Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget, offering expert advice on floral selections and styling details.

– Production & Setup: Lead the setup and styling of events, ensuring flawless execution and attention to detail on-site.

– Inventory & Procurement: Manage floral inventory, source high-quality blooms, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Early morning flower market runs are apart of the position

– Team Leadership: Train and mentor junior florists and stylists, ensuring high standards of workmanship and creativity.

– Trend Research & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging floral techniques, and innovative event styling ideas.

– Quality Control & Sustainability: Ensure all floral and design elements meet company standards while incorporating sustainable practices where possible.

Qualifications & Experience:

– Minimum 3+ years experience in floral design and event styling.

– Strong portfolio showcasing creative and high-end floral designs.

– Proven experience working in weddings, corporate events, or luxury event styling.

– Exceptional eye for detail, color coordination, and design aesthetics.

– Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

– Proficiency in floral arrangement techniques, knowledge of flower care, and handling.

– Strong organisational and time management skills.

– Availability Tuesday – Saturday with some early mornings and some late night bump outs included

– Excellent communication and client service skills.

– Ability to lift and transport floral arrangements and event decor.

– A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to event locations as needed.

Preferred Skills:

– Experience with large-scale floral installations and structures.

– Knowledge of event design software or floral management tools.

– Graphic design skills and knowledge in Adobe
