Wedding Flowers: Amanda & Brad by Ellie Agnes Florals

We’re so excited to bring you Amanda and Brad’s beautiful wedding day by actual sunshine in human form, Lauren, of Ellie Agnes Florals.

Lauren takes us through the inspiration behind the day below. She says it perfectly…no notes!

“A radiant blue sky in early December provided the picturesque backdrop for Amanda and Brad’s wedding at Petersons House.

Approaching me with a vision for a lively and fun atmosphere, Amanda and Brad craved a a burst of colour and an artistic touch for their wedding day. Though their ideas were open-ended, they entrusted me with their vision, allowing me to blend traditional flowers with playful shapes to create a blend of romance and creativity, perfectly suiting their style.

Incorporating unique and less-used blooms such as Gloriosa, Gladioli, Smoke Bush, Alliums, Echinacea, Sunflowers, and Canterbury Bells added vibrancy to the setting. Paired beautifully with the bridal party’s light blue dresses, the result was a kaleidoscope of pastel shades punctuated by pops of saturated colours, reminiscent of a lively summer romance.

One of the standout moments of the day was the flower nest, adorned with interesting shapes and textures. Positioned against the sandstone wall of the chapel, this piece was not only a breathtaking backdrop but also a versatile element that could be disassembled and repurposed at the foot of the long guest tables and the bar. Its whimsical charm and vibrant colours added a playful yet sophisticated touch to the elegant white marquee.

Looking back on this memorable day, I am grateful for the air-conditioned chapel and marquee at Petersons House, which preserved the freshness and vibrancy of the flowers despite the scorching temperatures exceeding 40°C. This experience underscores the value of factoring in weather conditions when planning an outdoor wedding. An airconditioned venue can greatly enhance the comfort of your guests and help maintain the freshness and beauty of your floral arrangements.

As I reflect on Amanda and Brad’s wedding, I am inspired to continue creating distinctive and unforgettable floral experiences for my beautiful clients, ensuring that each celebration is as unique and magical as the love it celebrates.”
