Chinaclay is hiring! We are seeking an experienced florist to work in our shop in Clovelly on a permanent part-time basis. The ideal florist will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, is happy to work autonomously as well as part of a small and tight-knit team, is organised, pro-active and is customer focused.
Chinaclay is a boutique florist that creates bespoke floral arrangements, sells handmade Australian ceramics, and provides flowers for weddings and events. Chinaclay has operated as a florist and ceramics store since 2016 and has enjoyed great growth and community loyalty.
Chinaclay values the work, expertise and experience of florists and accordingly will pay industry leading remuneration to properly compensate the successful applicant.
As this is a part-time role, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to freelance and/or work for another employer for the remainder of the week whilst having the financial security of guaranteed days.
Role and Responsibilities:
Permanent part-time position 4 days a week, Wednesday to Saturday.
Creating bespoke flower arrangements in keeping with Chinaclay’s style and values.
Providing top tier customer service to our loyal customers.
Assisting with installation for events (incl. weddings).
Ability to visually merchandise and organise products display.
Interact with Lightspeed, Shopify & courier apps.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of comparable florist experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pro-active and organised.
Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
