Wedding Flowers: Katie & Rob by Rose Studios

We have been absolutely swooning over Katie & Rob’s Melbourne wedding by florist superstar Emily, of Rose Studios. We were lucky enough to chat with Emily about the inspiration behind this colour filled, love day!

“Katie and Rob’s summer ceremony was held at the Taxodium Lawn, nestled in the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne. Against a backdrop of florals with pastel sky blues, soft pinks, gentle yellows, and dreamy lilacs, the couple exchanged vows amidst the ethereal beauty of nature. Following the heartfelt exchange of vows, the newlyweds led their guests to the Terrace Venue, nestled within the heart of the gardens.

Katie came to me with a gorgeous mood board vision that depicted an array of pastel colours, which we translated into bloom selections to perfectly suit this. Bridesmaid dresses in all tones of the floral colour scheme was a big part of bringing this altogether as we had to perfectly colour match each bloom to each bridesmaid’s dress.

Pastel florals at the wedding ceremony seamlessly melded into the sky-blue backdrop. As the bride walked down the aisle, her bouquet echoed the soft hues of dawn, complementing the natural beauty of the surroundings. My favourite floral moment was absolutely the bridal bouquet and bridal party florals and how well we matched these to the dresses.

The Wishlist in the mood board of the bride was sculptural and romantic. Katie really had a vision to work with from the start, after multiple consultations we really worked together to bring this vision into a clear concept and bring it to life. Florals used: blue delphinium lilac orchids, soft yellow orchids, local soft pink roses, local hydrangeas and anthuriums, dahlias and calla lilies”.

Thank you Emily for sharing this beautiful wedding with us, and big thank you to Katie and Rob for allowing us to showcase their day, captured beyond beautifully by It’s Beautiful Here.
